I use lotion to counteract dryness.

Always - I wash them many times a day. I just don't want any residue of any food or grease and grime to stay on my hands. I also wash after period through the day as there are many things we all touch and will have nasty stuff on it (How many people touched that door knob coming into your building each day? Do you know where those hands have been?)
Oh! I DO use moisturiser to keep them healthy as well.

If I took good care of my hands... I wouldn't use them when I went to the toilet..
