Xavier Naidoo is the best German artist in my book. He has a large repertoire, a truly "silky" voice and overall quality.
Here are some of my favorite songs:
Bist Du Am Leben Interessiert
Bitte Frag Mich Nicht
Wen Du Es Willst

Silbermond are worth cheking out, as are Guano Apes who sing a lot in English. Both young bands who have a bit of a british sound but their videos are not UK influenced.
