just an idea, but what about getting her something that really shows her how much you love her, and how happy you are to have her in your life? Maybe your wife thinks a vacum cleaner would do that, but is not the most romatic gift is it?
What if you buy it and you surprise her by vacuming with it when she comes home? Then she'd be happy both for the vacum cleaner, and cause you show that you also wanna help around the house....
As far as Hoover or Dyson, I really woudnt know ( it's not basic womens' knowledge), so I guess I didnt answer your question....or...

Wow ... this is an old one but always current. If you are having wife problems she is having husband problem. Always treat your wife as your girl friend since that is what she is. Don't do the same ole same ole sex routine or foreplay crap. Change it as much as you have energy for. You can simply ask her to decide where and when and how if she is game. It doesn't always have to be sex. You know, just spending that "quality time" with her without the cell phone crap may lead you both where you want to end up. Weekend trip to Vegas, Florida in the winter, Canada in the summer... let your budget determine how far ... or simply take a day drive and end up somewhere you want to just stop and get a motel and rest. Take a swim in the pool. Get up in the am and have breakfast watching the sun rise or simply sleep in. The best times are usually not planned scheduled out vacation or trips. Just go and be together like you use to when you were dating. Besides that is the way it should still be. If you are tired of the same ole things - you know what - she probably is too. Communicate with a favorite wine or dinner. You pay taxes together so you can still talk... Daniel Luttrell - Indiana.

Well you got the RIGHT gal! to answer this one!

My incredible husband just did the exact same thing for me.
He got me a Yellow Dyson, since the purple "animal" was too pricey and not that much better. He thought it out, and even explained it to me, which surprised me, since he normally just gets the "so called" best and never researches "my likes or needs". {I love pearls) He also gave a beautiful black pearl necklace, as joke to go with the vacuum cleaner. Yet, I adore it even more- honestly.

The 50's theme card read,
Hope you like gifts that really SUCK!
Mrs. Cleaver enjoy the pearls and vacuum cleaner, the "beaver" (son) and I love you ! Ward. PS....I don't mind watching you in the high heels and apron either.

I cracked UP...... It was My Mother's day gift!

Now if you put a weekend SPA package for the "two of us" alone without the kiddo, for our anniversary. That would have been a Whole different meaning to gifts that _ _ _k. LOL

Sweetie, if you think a vacuum cleaner is an appropriate present you DEFINITELY have problems!!! It says you see her as a cleaner, not a lover.
The look on her face will not be a good one, trust me!

Instead, get her something personal - jewellery (doesn't have to be pricey, just something you know she will love) or a book or CD you know she would like. You could even forget the "gift" and treat her to a weekend away or a classy evening out - and if you really want to buy her something she can hold on to then get her a stunning dress to wear for the occasion. Alternatively, hire a beautician to come in during the afternoon and give her some top-class pampering so she feels fabulous for your evening together.

Dyson for sure...it is the queen of vacuums...but you might wanna get her a little something else aswell as personally i'd be over the moon with a Dyson as they rock but your wife may take offence by it and see it as you're givng over one message...she is only good for cleaning. So maybe a little jewellery or something special from the heart will show her that little extra love ;o)

Henry hoovers are the best, use these all the time in hotels and buisness offices.Make sure you that you send her for a holistic massage too..housework is very laborious at times and atho having a new hoover is practical..romantic ideas is just as important..a woman wants to be valued and made to feel cherished, and i am sure by the way you have wrote your question you do indeed. So there...The Henry.!!

Dont get her a vacuum cleaner for ur 10th anniversary... leave that as just a general thing that needs to be bought! Get her something nice... more of a spoil her thing than a "heres a vacuum cleaner now do the housework"

I would really love to see your face when she hits you with it,i hope you will be buying something for HER and not something for the house but I'd buy a Dyson as mine is really good.

a dyson is good but also buy her something romantic, like a beautiful necklace dangled around the hoover or something!

Hoover!! But, I would not let that be her only gift. If my husband gave me a gift like that, honestly I would be pissed off and very offended. I know not every woman is the same.
Good luck!
