If you are thinking god created the earth then you are, well and idiot. The earth is millions years old and one day science will answer the question just like other questions have been answered. People used to think that the earth was the centre of the univerese but eventually science discovered that it wasn't and eventually science will discover that god has nothing to do with anything.

No living things created the earth, earth is created by the " BIG BANG ". The generally accepted age for the Earth and the rest of the solar system is about 4.55 billion years (plus or minus about 1%). This value is derived from several different lines of evidence.

BigBang theory is a bullshit and stupid idea, scientist had created. It is beyound their imagination how earth was created. They only see or jugde if proof is submitted. Their knowdlege is limited, to know this unlimited world (Universe). All this information on how the earth or other planatary system is created , about atom and molecules , the distance between earth to sun , all is mentin in Vedic Scriptures. This is not related to Hindu religion. Think Openly , dont be narrowed minded. All the information you will get from Shrimad Bhagvatam.

the earth may be as old at 4.6 billion years ago. we do not know how it is created but the theory is that it was created by the big bang or the nebular hypothesis theory.

well...Pete Townsend is in his 60's , so The Who had nothing to do with it.
...and , no , it was NOT formed during the big bang.
EVERYTHING on this planet , every element except Hydrogen, was formed in the hearts of exploding stars. That takes time.
The kind of time that is hard for some to wrap their minds around.
Since we can currently observe objects as far as 13.5 billion light-years away , that gives us a rough age of the universe.
By measuring the Sun's chemical composition and mass,
we can estimate the formation of the solar system at about 4 billion years ago .....Earth - sometime thereabout.
no magic ...no hokus pokus... no beards...simple physics.
Religion is NOT meant to explain the nature of the universe...
it's meant to explain our relationship TO it. as well as our fellow beings.

In simple language the answer is:
earth is about 4,600 years old, as old as the universe and the blame goes to "Big Bang" for creating it till another "culprit" can be found by geoscientists, physicists inclusive of astrophysicists...

i cannot answer but wonder at your stupidity "and who created it"?
Are you some kind of religious freak? and stop posting such stupid questions and be scientific.
The Earth is probably millions of years old, no one knows the exact age but its only an approximation.
And it was probably formed during the BigBang.
There are lots of questions about BigBang, check them out.
