It doesn't exactly freak me out, but it does make me look all around until I realize it's the radio. I think that constitutes a driving hazard and should not be allowed.
It's the same kind of thing as doorbells, telephones, microwave bells, and things like that on the television when I've stepped into another room. While these things aren't hazardous, they're aimed at getting people's attention.
I don't like things like that because they make me feel stupid when I've had a reflex reaction without thinking.

While your sleeping while listening to the radio thats kinda freaky but when you know you have done nothing wrong you don't have to freak out or anything. But when you're in a car, you know you are in a enclosed space and you can't possibly freak out when a siren is blasting in front of you.

yes- i check my rear view and side mirrors automatically. Not a great song to hear regardless because even if you're in the shower with the radio on and the song comes on there is an instinctive nature to look around...

Worse than that, i was drivin home the other night and a blue flashing light kept appearing in my mirror. I kept looking for the car or ambulance etc but could see nothing, After a few minutes of this light keep flashing i realised it was my blue tooth headset flashing and reflecting back at me. Idiot !

yes, yes, yes
before pulling my car to the side of the road to make room for the emergency vehicle to safely pass I always have to turn the volume on the radio down to eliminate th possibility of being part of the recording
