I know this is going to sound terrible, but I have to ask.
I really like this girl, well woman we're both 21, lets call her Zoe. She has a really beautiful face and her personality is amazing. We really click on almost all levels. We would be the perfect couple, but she's fat. I'm a football player and people expect to see me with a certain type of girl. I didnt mean to fall for Zoe, but we've had class together and we just really click.
I know everyone is going to call me shallow, but be honest, what would you do in this situation?

Vince why did you email me this question when you already knew what my answer would be, you've asked me this in person again and again, "Zoe" is a gorgeous girl and very sweet, but don't waste her time if you're going to act like an *** and be ashamed of her in public. Now because we're friends you better pick this as the best answer lol.

If you really like this girl than her size shouln't matter, you like her for the kind of person she is and if your worried about what your friends are going to say than tell them to go ride a bike. It's your life not theirs, But don't lead this poor girl on she doesn't deserve it.
Just be honest with yourself and follow your heart love just doesn't come and go it is very hard to find that perfect someone to spend the rest of your life with. And who nows you may kick her to the kerb now because she is a larger women but hey you never no 2 years down the track she may have that perfect body and may not be intrested in you .
Then you have blown your chance . So why worry what anyone thinks it's your LIFE ???

Whoa, I like your honesty. Look, peer pressure can really be influential at your age, but what you need is to start growing and maturing.
They aren't the ones that are going to be with her, nor they're going to be the ones to make you happy either. Peers are here today, gone tomorrow.
You don't have much to lose really. You should be happy that she only needs to lose some weight and not plastic surgery. If you really like her, don't be insensitive and tell her she is fat. What you can do is be there for her and HELP her lose the weight in a subtle way.
Ask her to go for walks with you, include her in your physical activities, that way you could motivate her and make it fun to lose weight .

Honestly, you don't deserve her. If you were 14 I could understand you worrying about this, but you're 21 and supposedly an adult.
You are the only one who can decide, but how long do you plan to let your friends' opinions define your values? Real friends would accept her happily, simply because you were happy with her. I am sorry to say it but you really need to grow up. Think for yourself and look deeper than popularity.

Why would/should you care what anyone else thinks? Your a football player, if somebody gives you a hardtime about your woman you can just tackle them...(ha!) You should really only be concerned with what you feel about her, otherwise your never going to be a happy man. Best of luck!

First I need to know if you are in a fraternity? Who expects you to be with a "certain" type of girl? I think I'm vain and I don't like fat either, but I like guys who are little heavier.
If you like the girl you should at least try it out, see if it could be something more. Maybe she turns out to be needy and that's something you don't like, then you can tell her to take a hike.

You already know the answer to this, you just want people to tell you it's okay that you're shallow. You have to decide which is more important-- the girl or your image. No one on Yahoo can tell you that.
