I don't remember which brother is which. When most of the Lynnyrd Skynnyrd band went down in the plane crash, Van Zandt's younger brother, who fronted for .38 special, went on to front the new Lynnyrd Skynnyrd for tours, in honor of his older brother. The rest of .38 may have joined him, but I'm not sure.

The group broke up. The lead singer who is Ronnie Van Zandts brother( who died in a plane craash) joined the reformed Lynnard Skynnard. I belive he plays lead gituar. Their youngest brother is the lead singer of that group.
