One or both parents is a history buff who is into the 1917 Russian revolution. It's a sad name, though, considering the violence with which this once-happy family met their doom.

Well I think you just named the whole Russian royal family - men and women included. Nicholai & Alexei are men's names - or at least they look like male names. The other names are pretty but you need to narrow them down to two - maybe three if you really can't decide. I'm not even sure if you can legally give a kid that many names, and why you would want to do that to a kid is beyond me. How would you feel if your mother gave you 7 names? Here are some suggestions...Tatiana Maria, Maria Anastasia, etc. Good Luck

Well you have 5 names in the middle ending in A and two names ending in i. It's obvious you like names that begin with A. I think it would be best to trim this down a bit. The reason is imagine your child writing their name.
Nicholai A. O.T. M. A. A. Smith. That's just weird for a child or an adult. I think you should choose between Alexandra and Alexei because they both derive from the same name. I would have a nice mixture, one name ending in I, One name ending in A and the last name. Good luck

To the previous poster. This isnt a Ghetto name. I can see where the original person got the name. After the last Imperial family of Russia. I am not sure if you want to just choose one or three names.
Well I do like the name Olga so a good nickname would be Olishka. Or Mashka for Maria.
I hope all goes well with your little one and good luck.

Just think where this will be printed. Driver's Licenses. Diplomas. Certificates and Awards.
You can't pass your indecision to a kid. Pick a name. Maybe two. Don't burden them with 7 names. Besides, Alexei and Alexandra are derived from the same names. That's like double naming. You can't do that. Well you could, but it's stupid.

Are you a russian? The names you chose sounds very russian. I think it's better to chose only one out of those names. Let's say Anastasia Smith. That sounds nice!
Aside from that, if you choose that as a whole name, you are gonna give your kid a hard time writing it.
I remember when i was in grade school, we had a test, everybody else had finish with their papers but I am just starting to write my name.

I think it's incredibly long. Also redundant and also has boy-only names. Nicholai/Alexei. Great Russian names but they are for boys.
Also, all those girls names together with the -(i)a is to much

you could cut it shorter for the benefit of your child,i like Alexandra Alexei Smith, or Anastasia Alex. but what ever you choose it should be a name your child can grow in to and not get picked on,i would also check the initials to make sure its not A S S or something of that sort.......good luck

Personaly, if you like it and it has a meaning to why you name you child that, I have no problem. Its sounds like Its a girls name (hopefully) but some people will think Nicholai is a boys name, and mistaken her for a guy, so keep that in consideration. And my children have long names, and they love their names, except my daughter is a infant and dont know hers yet.

O.K. The names are Russian, BUT is your baby a boy or a girl? Why would you put female’s and male’s names together to name one individual? Is “it” sexless? Hermaphrodite? I do not think that a child would appreciate such creativity in future years. It is probably better to stick to some creative sound combination…just not so long.

That name sign would crawl across an entire desk!
That is a little difficult to fit on the tiny Name line of every form you have to fill out.
I prefer naming a child with something simple that is a name of their own they can grow with and be looked at professionally as an adult.
