There are people from the states that are in favor of war, but not all of us. A lot of what you are talking about is coming from politicians, that doesn' t necessarily reflect the views of all the people.

Americans against peace??? I can see where you might get that impression but it's completely untrue. Sadly our government is a large part of how we as a whole are perceived (because we are of the people for the people and by the people). I personally would love some peace...I am also very proud to be an American.
If you think you have all the answers for how to solve the world's problems then I suggest you get a soapbox and pick a street corner. I would however suggest you keeping opinions like this one quiet around some Americans because some of us aren't as peace loving as I and would do you some harm for slandering our country.

The average american is a peace loving, and good, but the leadership has a mind of its own, and is acting in a very agressive way. Maybe they are settling scores or maybe it is a personal war. The average american has nothing to do with this bloodshed, and would like their leaders to be more gentle, and refrain from getting into unnecessary wars. The same effort can be directed to development, research etc. Maybe we could make a trip to mars, or develop colonies on the moon, instead of burning the money on war.

No. I do not think that Americans are against peace. I think we elected the wrong person into office, and I think many of us wish that the presidential election had ended differently. I do not think that we, as Americans, enjoy paying $3.50 per gallon of gas. I do not think that we enjoy having our sons/daughters, brothers/sisters, mothers/fathers in Iraq, fighting and dying for our president to make money. I don't think we approve of the proposed plan that was thrown out, where our borders were going to be operated by someone else. I don't think we want illegal immigrants to be legalized. I could go on, but I think I will let someone else have the floor now.

Yea, I don't know if they are against peace. But one thing I know for sure is that they want to dominate every species on earth. They have no honesty and no conscience. They think they are the Gods of earth. They take everything from the whole world and patent it as if they created it. Idiots. They are now planning to patent yoga as if it was created in America which is very much a part of the Indian culture. How dare they even think of doing that? All of them come and learn from Indian gurus and go back and pose as great Yogis and enlightened teachers in their countries and now want to patent it as their own. Sheer hypocrisy.

Nobody is against peace in this world , everybdy has its own way of going for it and there are clashes in ideologies and caos is inevitable. But Americas thinking is, keep gun for protection, but that gun can kill somebody else if goes in wrong hand and this happens. Extreamist think their race is best and removing other races can be best solution. As far as America's policies r concern those have been self centered , it tops the chart of arm sellling , it tops the chart of attacking, it tops the chart in bribing and using governments for its use. Ultimately it says I m the low maker and braker, I am right whatever I do. This ego is the reason of violance.

It really is ridiculous to "feel" that Americans are against peace.
Keep in mind that no election here is unanimous, which certainly means that people here (just as in other parts of the world) disagree on lots of things, including whether or not we should be involved in the middle east (and other areas) at all.
Still others believe that the ideal of world peace is not realistic, practical, or perhaps even economical. That doesn't necessarily mean that they are "against" peace...but perhaps they are "for" other things that happen to conflict with those things required for peace.

The whole American country can't be blamed for the problem you are saying. It is the result of just a few people in America who want to rule the world and not the whole country

America did go to war because pres. Bush wanted money but 911 was good enough cover to go to war. The real problem is religion. As long as their government is controlled my a religion who teaches it's children to blindly follow their god and teaches them that if they blow themselves up in the name of their country then they will go to heaven there will never be peace. Open your eyes.
