I believe you can enter Mexico and stay for up to 90 days without a Visa. After that, you'd be considered illegal.
Also, I assume that if you crossed the border outside of a port of entry, that would be considered technically illegal as well.....but who's checking?

Of course, you can enter any country illegally. There is almost always a way. A better question would be, why would you want to? The penalties for illegal entry into any country is at least temporary imprisonment under their judicial system. Can you imagine being prosecuted for illegal immigration while being held in a Mexican jail? Besides, it is incredibly easy to enter Mexico legally. Resident Visas are very easily obtained.

It used to happen all of the time, people on the run from crimes they just committed, and it's probably still happening today. If you're looking for a lower cost of living why do it illegally? You'd better have a source of funds in the USA before you leave, though, cause you ain't finding any work there!

We can. We can go to Mexico without a visa or passport and try to live, but we have little or no protection under Mexican law, and we could face some serious punishment if we were found to be violating their immigration laws.
That doesn't get talked about very much, and Mexico especially doesn't advertise it.

Just a question wants your living there if your not a millionaire....where would you work ? Would you honestly want to have a minimum pay job .If something happens you would be the guilt one without a fair trial .The Mexico is not known for thier honest government
