1. The Exorcist (with Linda Blair)
2. Poltergiest (the first one)
3. The Amityville Horror (with James Brolin)
4. Halloween ( the first one)
Things that can really happen THAT I CAN'T CONTROL scare me the most.

I love my Scary Movies, the best time to watch them is at night, with the lights off, some candles on, and if the wind is blowing outside even better, or a storm, and make sure u are alone!
Then put into ur DVD player, something like POLTERGEIST, the first is the best. Or if that doesn't scare the crap outta you, try An American Haunting or The Exorcism of Emily Rose, out of these i would have to say POLTERGEIST to be the scariest, you will be looking under your bed after this one for weeks, then An American Haunting and The Exorcism Of Emily Rose, the last 2 based on actual events!
I cant recommend these 3 highly enough, if your after a reall scare!
Silence of the Lambs would have to be another that is scary not because of the blood and guts, there is very little, but more because it takes you into the mind of a psycopath!
Let me know how your scary movie experience goes!

I don't think I've seen it yet. And I don't want to! The last movie I saw that totally screwed with my head was The Ring. Most supposedly scary movies are just stupid or gross. But that one totally freaked me out. Freddy Krueger movies are just disgusting. They scared me when I was little, but when I got older I realized how retarded they were. One movie that really got me when I saw it and still bothers me is Sleepwalkers. If you haven't seen it rent it. It's creepy and disgusting. It has the guy who played Leo on Charmed in it. For the first season of that show I had a hard time looking at him because of that film.

The scariest movie ive ever seen is Halloween. Everything about that movie is simple. From the music to the locations everything looks real like it could happen anywhere. I saw the movie when i was a kid and it freaked me out cuz we lived next door to an empty house. I was so scared of that house that every time i was walking down the street from school when i got to that driveway i would cross the street, pass it, then cross back into my driveway

I watched the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre in movie theaters on opening night and it was so scary. Also the remake of When a Stranger Calls kept me jummping. Than again these were both watched at the movie theater opening weekend and that always adds to the fun of a movie.

When I was a kid I saw the original version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and it scared me silly. I was very a impressionable child and thought it could happen. I watched as an adult and laughed at how silly I was.
If you want horror, go to the master Alfred Hitchcock, his films, most are in black and white, and they aren't always blood and gore but soooo good, like Psycho, The Birds, Lifeboat to name a few. I'm giving you a link to check out other titles. Enjoy.
