Hmmm, I'm not sure abou the 'take respect' part. Respect has to be earned, but by the time the two are married, they should have passed this stage.
I think people really don't take the sanctity of the institution of marriage serious enough. Folks, for better or worse, sickness and in heath. Richer or poorer. If the man loves and treats the woman the way he should, the woman is made to want to make herself be more submissive to the man, which is what he wants. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a whole lot of love and respect to me. It is give and take, of course, lots of communication. But, it is a beautiful thing.

If each person, marriage or otherwise, would apply the below scriptures to themselves and we all did it, respect would be automatically taken and received.
What is sad is when people go into a marriage and continue their selfish and childish attitudes and do not apply the Bible to their lives. They miss out on so much happiness because they don't wait until they are both wise enough to handle marriage.
Philippians 2:3
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves
1 Peter 2:17
Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king
Romans 12:10
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves

The only way you will get respect is if you give it. If he is not giving you respect, demand it, or leave because something is definitely wrong.

It is truely said also."Sadi kahte hain aisee hansi ko jisme rona chhipa hai or pyar kahte hain aisee rona ko jisme hansi chhipa hai." It seems your says are true also give respect n take respect. But all person not such hope that.
