They truly hope, that their eye didn't catch before something that they want to eat , so they get back to see if they have their favorite food in the refrigarator.

Because we hope that maybe some magical fridge goblins went shopping and filled the refrigerator with delicious foods while we weren't looking.
It could happen. I mean, that shoemaker had elves doing his damn job for him.
Why can't I have goblins in my fridge!!
I've got imps in my toaster and brownies in my dishwasher, where's my damn fridge goblins!!

I know I find myself asking my nephew and sister this all the time. It's like you were just in there a couple of minutes ago the same thing that was in there then is still in there now.

Exactly! I cant here going to put that exact same answer, but then saw that you had already. They are hopeing that suddenly, their eyes will see something new that there is to eat.

Bored with life and using food to fill their void. Every time the mood changes the food desire changes and we can be having sweet to salty to crunchy moments from moment to moment.
