As a lifelong Charger fan, I kind of miss hating the Raiders with a passion. This year they just don't matter enough to hate them. So I hope you're right, it would be nice to get the rivalry going again. I've been saying since the first game of the season that the Raiders had a good defense waiting to happen. The offense though, needs major rebuilding. It has to start with the O-line, the Chargers were all over Brooks in the last game and they were playing more second stringers than starters. I don't think Brooks is as bad as everyone is saying, if you can find another QB that would do better with defenders all over him on every play then take him, but Brooks isn't bad. They have good young RB's, no problems there. But they could use some young talent at WR. It might take a few years still, but the Raiders will be back, every team eventually becomes good, just look at the Chargers.

I think you have to consider the Detroit Lions. They completely re-vamped their offensive line to give Kitna more time to pass. They have Kevin Jones, Tatum Bell, and T.J. Duckett who will make a great team of running backs. They have the most dangerous receiving team with Roy Williams, Mike Furrey, and Calvin Johnson. Not to mention Mike Martz running the offense, and he is anything but conservative.

Their only problem will be that the defense may not be able to get off the field enough to get the offense out to show their stuff. Of the other teams mentioned: Patriots = Too conservative, Colts = Less than stellar rushing game, Saints = Not bad, but still lacking a receiving team (Colston can't do it all.)

The Indianapolis Colts.

QB Peyton Manning
RB Joseph Addai
WR Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Anthony Gonzalez
TE Dallas Clark, Ben Utecht

All this plus a great O-line anchored by C Jeff Saturday along with OC Tom Moore.

you can never tell this premature considering that mini camps just started. Also taking into the fact that football is a dangerous hard hitting sport and with only 16 games in a regular season, any injury can prove to be very detrimental to an offense (or defense for that matter). That being said Brady to Moss looks like a awesome team, I'd got with the pats.

San Diego "SUPER" Chargers. LT, Gates, Rivers, Neal, Turner, AN offensive line, and then some decent recievers. Watch out for Vincent Jackson this year. He's going to the Pro-bowl this year.

If you are talking about total offensive yards, I think the Detroit Lions should be seriously considered. Jon Kitna threw for over 4,000 yards last year, with only one real WR...Martz is still the OC, and with Calvin Johnson, there is no reason to believe the offense won't be better than it was last year.

Saints check this: Drew Brees (pro bowl QB), McCallister (former pro bowl RB), Reggie Bush (well its Reggie), Marques Colston (Sensational Rookie), Devery Henderson (lightning in a bottle), Robert Meachem (Donte Stalworth #2 but bigger), Eric Johnson (led a team in recieving as a tight end). And they play on turf, this is the best offense no doubt.

On paper, it seems like Patriots will. They have more than 2 pro bowl caliber WR's, Hall of famer QB, powerful RB tandem, good O-line and two above average TE's.
Then you have Colts, Saints and Seahawks in the mix.
