1. keep your hair out of your face (head band or pulled back in a low pony tail)
2. look clean
3. don't wear too much make up, look natural
4. trim your nails and take off nail polish if it isn't clear
5. wear a clean white blouse and black dress pants or knee length skirt with panty hose and closed toe heels with heel not bigger than 2 inches
6. bring a non folded copy of your resume of you have one
During interview:
7. Shake their hand with a firm (but not clenching) grip, no one likes the dead fish hand shake. keep your hands folded in your lap and keep your legs crossed at the ankle.
8. have 2 or 3 questions prepared to ask interviewer
9. when responding to a question try to incorporate experiences you have that relate to the question that support that you are a good candidate.
ie: Do you work well in group settings?
"I enjoy working in groups and i work effectively with others, in school (or other jobs) i have worked with group members to complete a project"
10. Make sure you note the interviewers name so when you get home you can write a hand written thank you note to mail the interviewer.
11. In the thank you note, mention something you spoke about that would make you stand out in their mind.
12. Throughout the interview keep eye contact with the interviewer, if you dont it will look like you are distracted and dont want to be there.
13. If another manager enters the room stand up and shake their hand and introduce yourself. Always tell them it was/ is nice to meet them.

They arnt going to grill you with questions or anything and when they ask you something it is ok to take a moment to think about your answer. Its ok to repeat part of the question in the answer:
"What is your greatest strength?'
" I feel that my greatest strength is... "

Good Luck and remember that confidence shows, so take a deep breath and relax.

I would wear an Old Navy shirt. This would be a nice touch.
Wear something with their logo on it. It would not be over the top. It would show that you are interested in getting the job. Be yourself. Most important sound enthusiatic and come across as someone that other employees would get along with. These are two things that they would look for, as well as some knowledge of retail sales. However, if you seem like the right kind of person they may hire you over someone with more experience if you strike the interviewer as someone who is willing to learn and put out the effort. Good Luck.

I had an interview there once. It wasn't so bad but I still didn't get the job. I dressed business casual--some slacks and a nice shirt. Just be yourself, let them know you're responsible, a hard-worker, the customer comes first, etc. The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes. Try to take some deep breaths to calm yourself down before. Good luck!

Relax , break the ice by giving a little salute when you walk in , a little humor will reduce the tension and they will smile and remember you in a good way , best of luck to you : ) also perhaps wear some clothing similar to what they sell .
