He was the creator of Calculus which is an advanced form of math that builds upon analytic geometry. What many people do not know about Sir Isaac Newton is that although he created Calculus; his love was not for math, but for Physics. His quest to study Physics required a higher form of math than was present at the time. He basically had to create the math necessary for his experiments. I have taken Cal 1 and 2 in college, and it is mind boggling how someone could create something like "Integrals" to determine area/volume. It is undescribable. And it has been proven to work.
