Can I ever. You might try to find a copy of the Mark Steel Lectures that covers his life and times.

Let's see:
Blatant homosexual
Invented the mill-edged coin (that's the little ridges on the edges of quarters; it keeps folks from shaving valuable metal off'f the edges)
Invented the cat flap
Did not invent nor discover gravity- simply suggested that it could be explained by mass
Used story about the apple (which didn't really happen- see his own writings) to generate scientific interest... it had nice, popular biblical overtones
Discovered light waves and the interference patterns which could be produced from them
Showed that white light could be split into the spectrum and reformed

...There's quite a bit more. He had an interesting life.
