God does not exist in the same sense that a park bench exists, or the sense that your capacity to be angry exists, or in the sense that there exists a day on which George W. Bush will die. God exists in the sense that my experience of typing this answer exists - only I am aware of it, only I can be aware of it, and it is instantaneous. Conscious experience is a different category of "existence" from EVERYTHING else there "is," and this is the source of confusion about God's so-called "existence." I'm not actually a dualist, by the way - I'm just a mystic.

God exists.. God has to exist. otherwise, what would be the point of tryin to live a good life? why wouldn't people just go out and do whatever they wanted to?? because, even if they don't want to admit it, everyone knows that there has to be more to life than this short time on earth. i don't believe that you have to go to church feel God because He is everywhere. i don't think you need to formally pray either because He knows that when you wake up on a beautiful day and smell the air and smile, that subconsciously you are saying thank you right there. you do not need to go seraching for God because he will find you when you are ready

God springs forth from the primitive limbic system of your brain, the last remnants of your reptillion past. The area where our raw emotions reside, including the irrational belief systems.

The 'religious' experience is triggered by deep depression, starvation, near death, or other highly charged situations. The 'born-again' christian phenomena has a scientific basis....yes, your limbic system. Why has man evolved this mechanism you might ask? Simple...it was a survival mechanism of our cave man ancestors to cope with a hostile and unknown universe.

The cerebral cortex is a more recent development. Here is where our rational and logical thought processes take place. It is here that the atheists have found their basis in reality.

In reality, there is no sentient, omnipresent, omnipotent supernatural being or force....therefore all the inequities and misery of the world will always persist, no matter how hard some try to get that limbic brain of ours to work...sorry

since i can not offer you proof of his existance, i offer you this, every morning you wake up, and the sun is out side, shineing making things grow, Faith is more important in life then you know, if some one says they love you, do you ask for proof? no you feel in ur heart weather it is true, so another words you have faith in that what they say is true. some here write an think it is funny to mock god, what will they say when they get to heaven an have to explain, i beleive god has a gd sense of humor, ....poof your a armadillo! but lets answer this question logically then, lets say you beleive in god and you die, only to find out there isnt a god, what have you wasted or lost. turned around lets say you dont beleive in god you live, you die, and there is one, and right now your standing before him trying to explain why you didnt?, what have you lost? well maybe your entrance to heaven right.

No gods existed when a murdering tribe of desert nomads invented a god which the children of Israel would share first with Christians and then Muslims. No gods exist today. It is fiction, my friend, and not especially inventive fiction, which is to say, the unknowing men of the desert borrowed a little bit here and a little bit there...kinda like modern-day college freshmen with access to the Internet, eh?

Yes, you exist because He lives. Do not fool yourself, when you are in a near death or scary position, I bet you call out to him. Not yet, just wait. By the way, if you didn't know who to trust, God or satan, would you put all your marbles on a loving God, or a scary devil, who hate you and everything? Think about it.

There are several proofs to show that God does exist, although it is tedious to elaborate here. (Respond if you want a lengthy demonstration of the proofs, hee hee.) God does exist; however what is arguable is the attributes of this god and whether god is still involved in history of mankind.

What is this god? If you believe in a god, then yes, because he is in your head, and he is part of you. But if you do not, then the god is never there. And if you cant decide, then ask yourself what you want to belive.
