Ashira is a beautiful name, sounds very ethnic, like Indian maybe. Love it!

I think it is a beautiful name, and as someone else mentioned earlier, I love the way you mix a more unusual first name with a more traditional middle name. It gives your daughter more flexibility. If she reaches an age where she is bothered by the name Ashira, she can choose to go by her middle name Emma. Also, I have to admit to being a bit biased, as one of my nephews is names Ashir William! His parents gave all their children more unique first names but more traditional middle names just so the kids had the option of going by a more "regular" name in school if that was what they desired.

Very Nice and easy for her to learn. Ashira is unique without being "weird" or hard to pronounce. Emma is always a greatname. This name reminds me of the past and present. Something new something old.

good job mom

I think it's a beautiful name! It's a nice mix of unique (Ashira) and more traditional (Emma) so it's really pretty. And there probably won't be a lot of other students in her school with her same name : )

I think it is different- in a good way. It's good that you have a unique name for your child. That means that (probably) no one else will have that name, and that's pretty cool. My name is Emma, but I've never heard of Ashira. It sounds pretty, though.

I think it sounds beautiful but what matters is the fact that YOU like it. There will always be someone that doesn't agree but it's simply their opinion. If you like it (and you obviously do) then smile and say than k you and enjoy having a beautiful daughter with a beautiful, unique name. I always thought my name was unique and hated it because no one seemed to pronounce it right. It's Tisha, like Tisha Campbell. Then when they figured it out they asked me why I had an ethnic name when I'm white as if I chose it. DUH! LOL No child likes their name when they're growing up that I know but it's beautiful and the name you gifted her with so be proud of it and don't worry about what other people think.

I like that name. It's not so off the wall that no one can pronounce it and not bland either.

I'm actually in the middle of writing a baby name book that advocates choosing unusual, but not ridiculous (or too trendy) names. So you get thumbs up for a good pick !

I don't particularly like it at all. I suppose Emma Ashira would've sounded nice...
