He never admitted to using steroids. he said and I quote "I was wrong for doing that stuff". Saying stuff makes you wonder what it was, but stuff doesn't mean that it was steroids.
Now I'm not saying that he didn't use steroids, but he never specified what "Stuff" he used.

Giambi hasn't admitted, confirmed, or acknowledged anything specific in public yet. Probably never will.
But if he's willing to submit to a public flogging, a week in the stockade in Times Square (without 24/7 coverage on Fox, ESPN, or any other network), and a 99.9% forfeiture of personal wealth (in return for which he gets a free sackcloth and some ashes), then I say let him go for it. Oh, and no book/multimedia deal afterward.
He cannot buy innocence but he can pay (hugely) for relief from his guilt.
Anyway, wearing the Yankee pinstripes, instead of the ones provided by Attica, is punishment enough.

i hear that his testicles size is punishing.
there's a lot of pressure on mr. giambi to have success while not taking steroids. and his numbers will be questioned. that's another bit of punishing i don't guess....
as far as the league dealing with mr. giambi, the league wants to sort of make an example out of him to hopefully prevent any one else from using. or at least that's what i would say that they would want, from a buisness stand point. it hurts the mlb to suspend star players.
i suggest that the league hits him in the wallet and donates the money to a classy foundation.

Free pass. It's very obvious that many the of baseball players used steriods in the last who knows how many years. Giambi is at least honest about it. If he gets punished for this, then everyone else who is guilty of using should also get the punishment.

Free pass. At least he's admitting. You cant punish stuff that happened in the past, cause there are a lot of other guys that did steroids in the past, but arent admitting to it. The MLB and Bud Selig should be glad that there is at least one honest player who wants to end steroid use in the majors. What use does it do to punish him now?

hmmmmmmmmm. enhancing your ability by illegal drugs, what a thought, I think any one who uses steroids in any sport should be fired and never play again. How is that different than doping a horse or lining your sleeves with aces? Cheating is cheating and a player like that I think should be thought of as tarnishing his team the problem is too many people look the other way and in the end most of it gets swept under the carpet. How many players have broken records or close to is now suspected of or have admitted to steroid use??????

That depends. He first admitted steroid usage a couple of years ago, so there has to be some statute of limitations here. The question now is: Has he started using steroids again? If he has, I say suspension.

No, just because he's the only honest one doesn't mean he should be the only one who gets punished. If they suspend him, then they need to suspend alot of other players also.

If it's proven he did, then yes, he should be punished. But the odds are greatly in his favor that he won't be.
