My average in Biology is a 71.5 . I have an exam on Thursday that I plan making a perfect 100 on, plus the 10 bonus points for doing the review. So im looking at making a 110. That grade is 20% of my final year end grade...what will be my new average?

P.s-if this extra info. helps at all- daily work is 40% of my grade and tests/quizzes are 60%

Well. If you have a 71.5 and it's 80% of your final grade, and you get 110% for your final,m with your final being 20%..

you'll have a 79.2

Well, I assume that your grade at this time of 71.5 counts for 80% of your final grade. The only thing left is the final.
So 4/5 of your grade is 71.5. If you get 110 out of a 100 you will be getting 30 points out of a normally possible 20 points which will be worth 20% or 22 points.

If yo had scored 100s on all your previous tests etc yo would now have 80 points. But you only scored 71.5% of the possible points so you have 57.2 points

If you can pull off the 110 point coup, you will have a final total of 57.2 +22 = 77.2 points which is a final mark of 77.2%. I don't know how your teacher grades, but that quite possibly be a B or B-.

Good luck.

need to know your test average so far, and how many tests you have taken, also need to know your daily work average. not only is it helpful, its essential. can't just take your overall average and one potential test score, and figure total grade.
