I really want to become an actress. I would like to know as much information as possible on how to become successful in it also. I am kinda looking to start off in a comedy for my goal. I want to get into the drama clubs and whatnot but i am not really sure how.. do i just show up and ask if i can participate. I can really commit myself to this - it is my passion but i only had a couple school plays and that was all elementary like 6th grade. Anyway I am 15 now and wont give up. Please all of you serious people out there, if you can, please help me. Thank you.

Start trying out for as many plays as you possibly can - getting experience is the most important thing, if you're serious about pursuing this career.
School plays are a good place to start, community theater is also good. If you're willing to put yourself out there, try out for a more professional theater company.
It's also a good idea to ask your parents if they have any friends, or friends of friends who own local businesses... those local businesses often do low-budget commercials, which is a good way to experience what it's like to be filmed.
I've had experience with commercials; they're a good way of introducing yourself to what it's like on a set... there's a lot of waiting and a lot bossing around by the director.
The biggest thing to remember is that rejection is a HUGE part of the industry. For ever 25 auditions you have as a professional, you'll only have 1 callback, and that's not even a definite job, just the next step in the process of getting a job. Most actors and actresses spend their careers doing commercial spots, and some of the lucky ones get one-line bit parts in movies. There are only a few who become moderately successful for a time, and even fewer who have a public, established career.
The best thing to do now, is put yourself out there and make sure that you want to act because acting is your passion, not because you hope acting will bring you money or fame, because chances are, it won't.

i want to be a actress to and im 14 i go to college and a acting acdemey this is helping alot. all u need is your family to support you all they can and go with it try putting your name down for x factor all you can do is try.i hope this helps.
