when was the last time that one of the two worst teams got a number one draft pick?

If the NBA Draft process was unfair, then Boston and/or Philly would have gotten one of the top picks...
The league needs Eastern Conference teams to get marquee players and be relevant again.
I personally think that the 1985 lottary was fixed when NY got the number one pick and selected Ewing...
I hope that the East is able to recover from this and continue to build up to contend with the west (Detroit Pistons not withstanding)

Did you really give this question any thought? How does Portland & Seattle getting the top picks help the league? The east needs marque players in big cities. The west is already stacked. So tell me, are you really a boston c fan?

The lottery's actually not a bad idea, as you shouldn't necessarily reward teams for losing, especially in a sport where one player can make a huge difference.

Besides, if it wasn't on the level, they wouldn't have given the top three picks to media markets as poor as Portland, Seattle, and Atlanta.

If they were rigging it they wouldn't have put the two most exciting players to come out since LeBron in two of the smallest markets in the country, where there is hardly any media focus and were their teams will play most of their games after most of the country is in bed.
