Aside from all the politics and paddock BS, there's not much action on the track! WIth the advances in aero, it's very difficult for cars to pass. Personally I think it's quite lame to pass people via pit-stop strategy, and I can't remember any good duel in recent years (maybe someone can remind me). What can make F1 more exciting? How can we see more over taking? I love the sport, but many times the sport makes me drowsy.

Rampant technology, clever aerodynamics, `sanitized' circuits and massive budgets have probably contributed most to the demise of passing among the frontrunners at most Formula One Grands Prix.
There is still a fair amount of `action' among the lesser teams, the ones that race in the midfield or back in the pack, but you will have to be at a circuit and out at a corner to see much of that as the TV cameras seem to concentrate on the top four or five cars.
I have to say a good percentage of recent F1 races could be described as boring, but I've often said that during the many years I've been around racing. Still, it appears they happen more frequently nowadays, however, I'll continue to be a racing fan.
As an aside, I'm almost positive of the identity of the person who insists on giving a `thumbs down' to most, if not all of my F1-related answers and I've also noticed he's actually copied parts of some of them for his own use. His answers seem to come immediately or shortly after my own; it's a fairly frequent pattern.
Perhaps he'll be brave enough to explain his reasoning or, perhaps he'll continue to be anonymous and hide behind his keyboard, a rather safe place for an ignoble person..

Yeah, there's not much on-track overtaking anymore. It mostly happens in the pits. MAkes me wonder what racing is about. There has been talk of changing the design of the back wing (is that what it's called?) to enable better air flow and such which will allow overtaking and such.

Anyway, there have been some good duels in recent years. Remember Suzuka 2005? Kimi overtook Fisi on the last lap and Alonso was fighting it out with Schumi. Then the races at Spa Francochamps always feature great duels. Two years it was Schumi versus Fernando.

True, no fun these days, no slingshots, no slipstreaming, just pit bulls. As a matter of fact the after race conferences are more interesting than the race itself!

I am waiting for the ban in winglets and once again see the glory of on track overtaking.

Hey, there is enough action in the tail ends, the lesser hyped cars do duel it out. And though it was no duel, Schumi's last race was a masterpiece. And cant deride pit stop passing, that too is part of sport.

No way friend......Infact now i feel F1 interesting because, there are lots of compettitions on the track with Four drivers competing for the title this year (Felipe, Kimi, Fernando and Lewis) before and all it used to be very predetermined, and there will be very less compettition among the top contenders, now its not so, ...

If you take a look at qualifying , it has also become an interesting stufff to see, before i used to feel boring about the qualifying procedure, but now they have introduced lots of On-Track actions..................F1 rocks,. I luv this game

Yes. F1 is a technological tour de force. Better racing? I think smaller tires would do it.
