The various types of blood groups:
Blood Group AB
An individual with type AB blood can receive blood from any group (with AB being preferable), but can donate blood only to another group AB individual.
Blood group A
A group A individual can receive blood only from individuals of groups A or O (with A being preferable), and can donate blood to individuals of groups A or AB.
Blood group B
A group B individual can receive blood only from individuals of groups B or O (with B being preferable), and can donate blood to individuals of groups B or AB.
Blood group O (or blood group zero in some countries)
A group O individual can receive blood only from a group O individual, but can donate blood to individuals of any ABO blood group (ie A, B, O or AB). If a blood transfusion is needed in a dire emergency, and the time taken to process the recipient's blood would cause a detrimental delay, O Negative blood can be issued.
The two most significant blood group systems were discovered during early experiments with blood transfusion: the ABO group in 1901 and the Rhesus group in 1937.
There are blood groups for different animals:
Over 13 canine blood groups have been described.
There are eight recognized blood groups in the horse: A, C, D, K, P, Q, T, and U.
The polymorphic systems in cattle include the A, B, C, F, J, L, M, S, and Z polymorphisms.
Two complex chimpanzee blood group systems, V-A-B-D and R-C-E-F systems, proved to be counterparts of the human MNS and Rh-Hr blood group systems

Landstiener discovered them
We have A. B, AB, And O blood groups in the ABO kind of groups
we also have Rhesus factor or people are either Rh +ve or Rh-ve (first discovered in Rhesus monkeys)
besides, there are MN blood groups too.
Now, Blood groups are coz of presence or absence of a particular Antigen on the surface of RBcs so if any animal does not have RBCs as insects they can't have blood groups.

All A's B's AB's can receive from any O including there own blood type but O can only receive O. Also any AB's can receive from either any A or any B or any AB. O is considered the "universal blood type"
