In numerology numbers have their own special meaning. However, they need to be in single-digit form only. If one was born on the ninth day of the ninth month, the numbers would be added to each other (9+9=18), then the individual digits would be added again until one digit resulted (1+8=9).

If the "9" symbol you are using is actually "0" in your numbering system. then 0 + 0 = 0 and the equation is true.

There is a method of checking addition amd multiplication called casting out nines. In this case, if you cast out 9 you have nine left.
