we've had "this is why i'm hot" "laffy taffy" "chicken noodle soup" "lip gloss" and i even predicted somone would make a song using "hickory dickory dock" one day, and I'll be damned that of all people, 8Ball & MJG made a song called "hickory dickory dock"! what has rap music come to, is it now a marketing gimmick for nursery rhymers?

I think that about wraps it up. That song *This is why I'm hot* was so badly constructed. I didn't even get the message why he is hot; that's the most lamest rap song I've ever heard. *Lip Gloss* was never also thought up. The singer must have thought of it when she thought that she's so fine that everything she uses is fine. Maybe, somebody would revise "Hickory Dickory Dock" & turn it into a rap entitled "Hickory Dickory Dogg"? LOL!

Its not that new rappers can't rap about anything good is just that for so reason those type of songs get embraced more by mainstream media. Lets be realistic if you had a record company and your top selling rapper is singing about how his new shoes make him a better man then of course that's the one your going to spend more time and money on, right?
But don't blame the companies for trying to make money, blame the listeners. I'm a Big fan of Hip-Hop/Rap of all types and yeah there are some dumb songs that I like, but I am also aware of the Real Hip-Hop underground movement and I support that 100%. MC like Immortal Technique, Brother Ali, 2Mex, Hi-Tek, Mos Def, Dead Prez, Talib Kweli, Nas, Dilated People, Common and many others who have saved Hip-Hop time after time, which still gives hope to Real Hip-Hop fans all over the world.
So thank you to all those who have saved what was once known as MCing(the art of rhyme).
