Now that winter is upon us, my husband likes to have the heating on all the time. Unfortunately it is split cylce and it just blows hot air out. It's so drying and I find it really uncomfortable and my skin feels so tight and sore. I think I should get a humidifier. I know there are the Vicks ones, but is there anything bigger that can be recommended.? Where can I get one (I'm in Australia)? I called Clive Peeters and they said they didn't stock them. Am I the only one with this problem? My husband says he doensn't feel any discomfort and I must be a frog.

Going through a lot of lotion? Dry air also keeps the nose dry which allow virus' to grab hold.

You can get funace mounted humidifiers all the way down to room size. Contact a heating contractor (your furnace brand repairmen for example) and ask about furnace mounted humidifiers. You'll save on your heating cost because the moist air will feel warmer (one argument for your husband)

Of course use a contractor who has worked on these things.

You are not the only one with this problem.....millions suffer from this.
