I have these award certificates for people, and these already have all the stuff already on it, with the exception of the person's name on it.

How can you print out their name on the certificate? I'm assuming that you just estimate where the name will go in relation to the certificate and just go trial and error from there, but is there a better way to do it? Thank you very much for the help!

Make a copy of the certificate (or several) and practice with the alignment by printing names onto the copies. When you have it perfect, feed the certificate through the printer the same way.

Another way, if you're using Photoshop or some program not confined to line spacing, is to overlap a bunch of different names (on different layers) toward the center of your on-screen page. Then print the gibberish and hold it up to the light against your certificate. Pick the name that lines up best, delete the other layers, and print!

Well I would try and get my hands on a typewriter. Best way to make sure the name goes into the right place. Other than that see if the certificate is online and you have a precident so you can be sure of where to put the name before you print it.
