I'm a cheerleader and i run track but once i say i am a cheerleader ppl automaticaly put a label on me like ur probably afraid 2 break a nail or how many guys have u went out with which isn't fair becuz i'm 13 and have only had four boyfriends which i don't think is that bad and plus i'm not a little girly girl eventhough my favorite color is pink i would play any other sport if i were good at them ~what do you think of cheerleaders?

plus ppl think just cuz ppl tell me aww ur so adorable that i wear a lot of make up and that's all i'm worried about is my hair and my make-up which isn't true cuz da lowest grade i have ever gotten on a report card was a C

That is just a stereotype, and like all stereotype it does not fit the majority of the ones being stereotyped.

Perhaps in the past, cheerleaders have had a name for being loose and I know that is not always true.
Another reason is that the young ladies that did not make the cheerleader squad are very jealous and use gossip as a weapon.

This sounds like a assertion masked as a question to me. No, i do no longer think of cheerleaders are sluts. whether, they are in the spotlight, so while they do some thing (exceptionally some thing undesirable) human beings will associate their cheerleader status with in spite of the fact that that's they are doing. confident, I do think of it would be a interest, purely like gymnastics.

you are perpetuating the stereotypical image of a cheerleader by the things you say such as you're not blond (because blonds are thick) the lowest grade you had was c (because cheerleaders are thick) everyone thinks you are adorable ooh maybe you are!

im a flyer but I don't get that lol maybe because I'm not blond though. there is a stereotype of blond cheerleaders =) just do ur thing! cheer is awesome!

Because other cheerleaders have ruined the "cheer" name. When I was in school, a lot of the cheerleaders. Were like that.... And because one is like that, people are dumb and just assume that they all are like that. But not all of them. Just let people think what they want. You know the truth.
