I try to deal with them the best that I can. Life isn't always easy that is why it is great to have a loving husband family and friends to help you through the hard times. For instance tomorrow makes 3 years since my mom passed away from cancer. I know if I ever have a hard time dealing with anything he is always there for me to lean on.

When I am up the whole world knows because my attitude is that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When I am down I take a day to have a melt down and do nothing but relax all day and reflect on my situation. Then I go back to the reality that all things work for good to them that love the Lord. And everything is a part of God's plan for me and move on.

When the "ups" come around, I will typically just ride it out and enjoy life. When the "downs" come around, I will take every possible effort and turn the "down" into an "up".

I deal with them as they happen and do what I can to work them out. I believe things happen for a reason. Its up to you to figure that reason out. I have survived an abusive marriage, both parents dying, coming out, going blind (Drs mistake) and all of it has made me stronger and a better person for it. The key is not to live in the past, you have to move on. Life wont stand still around you.

Part of the way I cope and deal with everything is by taking my concerns to God in prayer, and talking to God about everything. God allows what and who comes my way, God is the author of life and creator of all that exists, so, yes, I go to God because I believe that's part of the plan God has anyway. For I believe, even though God's all knowing, I'm still supposed to know all that I have was entrusted to me by God and I'm supposed to do all that I can, then let go and let God while I stand back, as I'm watching, waiting, praying, and trusting that God will do all I know God's able to. That's ALWAYS been the way I deal with the ups and downs God allows to come my way.

I have learned to roll with the punches and not make hasty decisions which can only make the situation worse. I always have another gameplan in handy in case things don't work out as planned. And most of all, i communicate with God. It helps me through the raging tide. It's always been a foolproof strengthener.

I seek courage spiritually. Pray and ask God for the perseverance and self-resilient. Always think that, there are things that you have no control at all. Be contented and thankful for what is given. Accept the limitations, but at the same time, work for things that you want. If you did not get it, just accept the fact that it's not meant to be yours. If you have peace of mind, u can think clearly and rationally. Have faith in Him and act accordingly. It always worked for me.

Kind of depends on what the ups and downs are. I've worked through some pretty tough situations by myself and handled them just fine. I've dealt with loved ones with chemical abuse and mental illness, and I didn't hesitate to seek professional help in doing so.
