Discharge can definately change before and after your period.

Usually there shouldn't be an odor, but if there is, or if you're having cottage cheese like discharge (that you mentioned) then you might want to schedule an appointment with your OB GYN. They will probably just prescribe some type of cream because it's most likely a yeast infection.

And to avoid them in the future, wear 100% cotton panties so you can breathe down there! And don't wear thongs so often.

Don't worry, you have a couple of things going on and yes one is ovulation. You also have a yeast infection which probably turned into a urinary tract infection. You'll need some antibiotics which will clear up the yeast infection. Yeast infections are common so if you ever get one again or think you have one take the proper steps to clear it up. No worries though.

well it could range from a yeast infection to bacterial infection...over growth of fungus can cause a bacterial inf. vice versa...get some over the counter yeast infection cream like miconazole 7 but before you do that...since you said you had a yellowish discharge with a fould smell then it sounds like a bacterial inf. but cant tell until the doctor does the proper lab tests. after you see the doc get the yeast cream and use that if you also have a bact. infection he can give you metrogel but if youre using cream for yeast he may just give you flagyl, he can also give you diflucan(which is a pill) for the yeast but that will still talke a day or two to circulate youre just better off getting the yeast cream it will give you relief from itching and burning aswell...b ut like i said see your doc asap before using anything so it doesnt interfere with lab tests and do not douche!! i cant emphasize that enough to my patients that come in..douching actually worsens the enviornment of the vagina and washes out the normal flora (bacteria) that we need there thus causing all these infections..hormones fluctuating can have a role when it comes to yeast and bact..infections...good luck hun see your doc asap

If it's a yeast infection it would probably have an itching burning sensation. It could be you bodies natural way of cleaning you out, which is often a discharge. If you think you should be concerned you should go to a doctor for a look. It's nothing to be embarrassed about.

Yes, I think you should be concerned. Discharge is a normal thing every now and then, but what you are describing does not sound normal to me. It is possible you have yeast infection, as you say, but these infections need to be treated.
You may also have some STD. A visit to your doctor is a good idea.
Another thing, if you use a douche, you may be overdoing it and causing your problem.

Each person is different, But if I was in your position I would definately go to the doctor. White clumpy discharge is normally due to a yeast infection. It's better to get checked out and find out it's nothing, than to let it be, and get really bad where you end up with a really bad infection.

You didn't mention if you have itching. The odor and color points to some kind of infection. The white clumps sound like pus. Get checked.

Have you taken the steps to get rid of a yeast infection? Is there any itching or pain involved?? I would get the over the counter med's and see what happens. You should not have this kind of discharge all of the time.

If it has a yellowish tinge and has odor it could be a yeast infection. Best to consult your doc. Yeast infection is common and can be taken care of :)

When you are ovulating (which happens about two weeks after your period starts) you can get a sticky discharge. This is normal. Clumpy discharge with a smell can be a sign of a yeast infection. Please go see your doctor for a proper diagnosis. Good luck
