I personally think it's better than most of their more famous stuff but that might just cause alot of their famous stuff gets overplayed.

The 2112 was more or less the "break through" album for Rush and was a masterpiece in its' own right but not neccesarily the best work.Rush have gone on to make over a dozen more albums since and each has pieces that other albums did not. They changed sounds according to the times but always maintained that distinct sound that got them started in the first place. They put out another album on May 1st and I truly love it. They have always rocked hard and I hope they continue to do so.

Classic Album. If you like that, you might also enjoy "a farewell to kings" and "hemispheres" releases. Rush changes with the times. The rarely make an the same album twice. Unlike some groups like Nickelback which all of their songs sound the same.

It's a great song :D
The song 2112 itself is great, but the rest of the album is good too(epecialy Passage To Bankok ans Something For Nothing). And like all rush stuff it sounds best live.... going to see them play in October :)

It is defintely one of the top 3 songs for Rush, a classic for sure, other top two would be Red Barchetta and Spirit of Radio.

Have *I* heard 2112? Just look at my av'! :) I even have a dvd bootleg of a 1976 '2112' show in NJ.

I like 2112 a lot, but prefer Hemispheres.
