3 factors:
1) fan voting. Sammy might be a fan fav, and Chicago could help him make it
2) OF competition. I reallt have no idea who is good out there right now
3) The Rangers have to have one allstar on the team. So far the 2 best players are teixeira and sosa. Lot harder for a 1b than a of/dh. If its not them who else could it be from the rangers (that deserves it)
i say 25% chance he makes it, 20% teix, 15% young, 10% kinsler, god knows who else could possible make it

Slammin Sammy can hit .200 and still have a shot at the all star game because he's a bit of a fan favorite. Whether he actually will be there or not i'd have to bet 77% yes and 23% no.

nope, there are too many good outfielder's in the AL. Think about Vlad, Ichiro, CC, and Grady the lady's man. There is no way that Sammy could get on the all-star team. not even as a reserve.
