I had unprotected sex in March and then got my period. I got the depo shot in early April. I skipped my scheduled peirod on April and I got it a few days ago but just spotting and its really light. Today I wasnt wearing a tampon or anything because my period is really light and all of a sudden I feel this big thing come out of me and I thought I got my period really heavy so I ran to the bathroom and checked. It was this fleshy, thing about the size of a womans index finger, it was red and the edges were whitish. I picked it up with toilet paper and it was strechy and looked and felt like a tounge.

I was thinking maybe it was a fibroid if you think it is too could you give me some information on them. I was also thinking maybe it could be a misscarrige from a long time ago. Or could I possibly have endometriosis?

Im sorry if this is TMI but I dont know what it is and its freaking me out.

What you passed was a fairly large clot. They are not at all unusual in the period that follows a skipped cycle. Yes, they look like a nasty piece of tissue, and sort of rubbery because the blood cell walls have all stuck together. It's not a misscarriage, and it's not any sort of tumor. Small clots are quite often part of the ordinary menstrual flow, they just get absorbed by the tampon or pad and you don't notice them as easily. But the older the lining being shed, the more likely you are to pass larger ones you can recognize. So exhale, it's normal.

Fibroids are benign tumors. It might have been a small fibroid, or some other kind of uterine tumor, but I don't think I ever heard of anybody passing a tumor like that.

The other person might be right, maybe it was a large blood clot.
