I think she was drunk and than tripped over her dog. So she wasn't telling a complete lie. My parents also feel the same way.

Owning a small dog myself, I think it is entirely possible. I have fallen and sprained a wrist and my ankle over unexpected dog movements, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.
If she had owned a cat, no one would have doubted her at all.

Isn't her dog a chihuahua? How can you trip and fall over a little dog like that (I just push mine out of the way if he gets in front of me). She sounded pretty tipsy tonight...kinda slurring her words.
