Collinwood, I would like you to know that I am an adult and I can make my own decisions about when I want to have a baby. Not that it's any of your business, but I am a full time college student, my husband works full time, and is also a full time student. In a few years he will be a pharmacist, and I will be a psychologist. We missed the deadline to sign up for his insurance, and I’m not paying out of pocket to have a baby. I am eligible for Medicaid, so I am going to use it. We pay taxes and that's what it is there for. Now mind your own business please.

Yes, medicaid will pay for a VBAC. Actually you would be saving them some money. A c-section cost moore. I was laid off from my job when I was five months pregnant with my second son and my husband didn't make enough for me to continue it through COBRA so I went on medicaid and they paid for everything even my tubal.

In Texas, Medicaid would not cover my emergency c-section.
They said it wasn't medically necessary. I got a bad staph infection after the surgury and was so ill I needed 2 more operations to cut infected, dead tissue out of my stomach.
The doctor said I'd die if it wasn't done. Medicaid refused to pay for those operations, too. They said it was because it was 32 days after the baby was born and Medicaid only covers the mother for 30 days after.
I wouldn't count on medicaid covering anything, for sure. I had it in Arizona and Nevada, too. They refused to pay for a lot of stuff.
I owe over $250,000 in medical bills Medicaid refused to cover.

I don't know if it matters that you're in Ohio, but it should cover it. Your doctor should be able to tell you if it will be covered, but if not here is the Medicaid TOLL FREE number in Ohio:

Ohio Medicaid hotline: 1-800-324-8680

I think they'll cover whatever it takes to get the baby out .. I don' t think there are any specifics with medicaid .. they will pay for the birth procedure no matter what method it is.
good luck! God bless!

I believe it will cover whatever your Dr is willing to let you do. My friend on medicaid (illinois) had a v-bac. Its just about finding a Dr who will do one. Lots will nowdays.
