Whatever is OK among consenting adults is OK as long as no one is victimized.
Serial Monogamy (marry, divorce, remarry) is but a form of Polygamy.
MOST men who are married are NOT monogamous anyway at least this is HONEST and in the OPEN.
The only thing I have a problem with are the CULTS where people are controlled, cut-off from society and young underage girls are married off to old men.
But the concept of consenting adults CHOOSING this as an alternative lifestyle is NOT wrong. Its just a different choice so don't look at life so Black and White.
All choices in life have consequences and no one said marriage was easy, monogamous or polygamous.
(at least the wives can help out each other with the kids)
Some people are better suited for this lifestyle than others.
I find a lot of American women are very offended and somewhat threatened by the concept but to each his own. Viva La Libertine!
For all you people bringing up The Bible, there are OTHER books that OTHER people look to and by the way, NOAH had SEXUAL RELATIONS with his DAUGHTERS and yet incest is prohibited so lets not bring THAT book into this (the same book where God supposedly tells Abraham to MURDER his son then says "JUST TESTING!!!")...there are other books and other viewpoints in the world besides YOUR Holy Bible.
Keep YOUR "morality" off MY body.

It's not for me, but I think if it works for someone else and everyone involved agree with it, than GOOD FOR THEM! There are so many unhappy marriages in this world that often end in divorce. I think if they found a way for it to work for them then there is nothing wrong with it. As a matter of fact, I applaude them. Imagine having more than one wife to have to support, and all the nagging the husband must have to put up with! LOL I think it would be an extremely hard thing to do... I don't think my husband would be able to put up with a 2nd wife, let along a 3rd, 4th , etc!

Moral or immoral, right or wrong, it makes no difference. Polygamy is illegal in all 50 states and it is a Federal crime as well.
For the life of me, I can't see why on earth a man would want to have more than one wife at a time. And I for danged certain I don't understand why a woman would be willing to have a husband with multiple wives.

Its not my thing, but I don't think its wrong, either. I just don't like to share and prefer my husband all to myself.
People the world over practice polygamy and have no problem with it because it does not violate their religious beliefs. Some religions actually require polygamy.
Most people who disapprove only do so beause they are of a religion that is against polygamy or because their culture has encouraged individualism and that makes them jealous of another spouse.
Anyone read the KJV Bible lately? Manyy of God's favorites were polygamous.

There is no ban on it in the Bible. That having been said, it is opposed to our traditions. In view of the legalization of homosexuality by the US Supreme Court, I find it very hard to see that there is not a constitutional right to polygamous marriage.
I think that the television tends to overblow these things in order to get ratings. However, the child sex that appears to be connected with some of these groups is obviously illegal and evil.
The child sex aside, I think that we should leave these people alone. At least they are up front with what they are doing, unlike the average suburban adulterer.
But you are morally right.

Diff. strokes for diff. folks dear! Your feelings about this topic stem from your culture and upbringing. If you lived in a society or area that this kind of thing was common, then you would feel differently about it.The most important thing any marriage does is to provide for and protect the children!Different circumstances and situations bring different answers to this question. Regardless of what type of marriage it is,if it doesn't provide for the kids FIRST then I feel THAT is the REAL IMMORALITY!!

Not my cup of tea but if someone else wants to do that I can't really say anything about it. As someone else mentioned though it's not a hugely widespread practice in this country. And in those countries were it is more common it's expected to share so you don't have the same sort of reactions we have here.

Since I am not being made to do it, I don't give a hoot. "Horrible" and "Impure" are strong words for something that has nothing to do with you. (Personally I think it is "Horrible" when an ex alienates their child from the other parent AND I think it is "Impure" to shack up together and breed)
