you answer someone's question, only to have someone else answer after you with your answer but paraphrased--or worse still, they've gone ahead and copied&pasted a wikipedia article?

and speaking of wiki, why is it that a lot of people seem to not know how to wiki or google answers for themselves?
(not that i don't enjoy thinking up witty ways of saying what could easily be found on the web...but come on. really? wow.)

Yes it is frustrating when someone just pastes a source.Im impressed when i get lengthy and passionate answers from people who type it themselves.

I've noticed that when I have submitted, someone had just beat me to saying the same thing so it's not always a case of copying. And I hate the whole article thing. A very lazy way to answer the question. I think sometimes people don't search it themselves because they either don't know how to look or they get distracted and forget what they're there for, like the guy who answered your question by complimenting your avatar and asking your profession

I hate it when they copy and paste the whole dang article. If I want to know something I will take the time to click a link and find what the heck I am looking for. When I answer I will usually just put in the link and say go there.. if they don't want to do that then they really don't want to know the answer. The best things are the ones you find out for yourself..and I really love the ones who want you to do thier homework

No, in this group, members are free in every way to answer whatever be the source and even if it mean copying one answer from the other. Anyway, our goal is to answer the asker and ultimately to outdo the other hoping that you will be chosen as the best answerer.
