Why is this not the number one topic of discussion for the Candidates...tax reform would solve most of the issues that Washington is concerned with. It would solve wage issues, lower prices on every product we purchase and fund social security and the federal Government. The Poor would get rebate checks and the rich could invest money into more jobs. “We all win”. So what is the problem? Why are our Politicians afraid of the Fair Tax?

The Fair Tax(H.R.25/S.1025) is THE best and as far as I'm concerned the only option for tax reform. Anybody who hasn't heard of it or doesn't understand it should look into it. It will put Americans(Democrats, Republicans, rich, poor, business, consumer, worker, boss) back on the same team. That IS where we should be. This is nonpartisan legislation that we should all get behind.

Neither, easily. except you're hideously prosperous it relatively is, then this is fairly lots as wash. The so-stated as "honest Tax" is a huge 30% or larger national sales tax on all new products. How does one greater $6,000 in tax on a sparkling $20,000 vehicle sound? no longer so good, eh? it relatively is a elementary false impression that the prosperous might pay larger taxes below the "honest Tax." they have a tendency to acquire wealth, no longer spend it. that they had pay a lots decrease proportion of their gross income below the "honest Tax." in case you decrease the burden from the prosperous, you the two ought to diminish centers or pass the burden to somebody else. that must be the undesirable and center type. The undesirable may well be tossed into the streets, and the middle type might undergo the brunt of the burden and can grow to be the recent "working undesirable." On perfect of that, as at the instant proposed there are great opportunities for fraud and black promoting that have not been addressed. those themes might fairly much surely bring about draconian new regulations and terrifying powers for the IRS to attempt against that fraud and black promoting. The Flat Tax might must be levied at around 27% to improve an identical gross sales as a results of fact the present graduated tax. the prosperous pay a marginal fee of as much as 35% so as that that they had be finding at a great tax smash. maximum taxpayers pay a internet fee lots below 27%. Crunch the numbers out of your return final year and that i will wager all the income tax bill is decrease than 20%. (merely divide the entire Tax line by ability of the entire income line.) And while you're a suffering college student, it could have been as low as 0%. With the flat tax, your tax bill might rocket to 27%. in case you earned $5,000 final year, you paid no Federal income tax. below the Flat Tax, you may pay approximately $a million,350. Does THAT sound like a good suggestion? So Paris Hilton can shop a million or so in taxes? did no longer think of so! The fairest of all taxes is a graduated income tax, merely as we now have. particular, the Tax Code needs some simplification and modernization, yet neither the "honest Tax" nor the "Flat Tax" may well be any style of tons for the conventional citizen.

Taxes are unlawfull and have allways been unlawfull. The sixteen amendment did not pass. And there is no law to that effect. Second the issue of discussion is fruitless because anybody that wants tax reform should be tossed out of office.
The court uphold a private organization that is private. Your taxes does not go to operate the government. Your taxes go to pay interest on the debt.

Your talking about a flat tax for anyone who makes over the poverty level right? I think its a great idea, most states already do flat tax at all income levels and those states seem to be able to provide the most for the people of their state

Maybe they are afraid of FairTax because the IRS would lose all power, and we all know how much they relish the power.
