I think, as harsh as it would seem, everyone when they reach the age of 13 or so should HAVE to watch Requiem for a Dream. We'd have less drug addicts.

And everyone at some point in their life should have to watch Crash, to learn that you may think you are a nice, non-racist person but there's always little things you do that you may not even be aware of. And hopefully, you'll aspire to change those things.

Now, tell me ... what do you think everyone should HAVE to watch?

And I'm NOT talking about just because it's "a good movie."

Kids, Color Purple, Schindler's List, Shawshank Redemption, and Singin in the Rain. The last one just to remind that movies are about entertainment and can be fun as well as educational.

Life is Beautiful.
There's a good lesson on how to confront and stand up to the evil in this world. A sense of humor may not keep the bad realities from entering your life, but it can bring a positive perspective to life. And this movie shows true love between a parent and his child.

"Red Beard"....an "under-watched" Kurosawa film. A beautiful film about compassion for your fellow man, and patience in yourself....a masterpiece....
