Although it is likely true that prejudice resides in all groups to similar degrees, racism, by definition as a word ending with the letters "ism," is more than prejudice. Racism, as with all "isms" is a system (think capitalism, socialism, communism, fascism, etc). So to suggest that racism is a problem for all groups in roughly equal degrees, is to paper over the fact that not all groups have had, or have now, anywhere near the equal ability to put their prejudices into action, via systemic policy. BLACKS, FOR EXAMPLE, CANNOT RACIALLY PROFILE WHITES, DENY HOUSING TO WHITES, OR JOBS, IN THE WAY THAT WHITES CAN DO THESE THINGS TO BLACKS, BECAUSE BLACKS ARE RARELY IN POSITIONS OF POWER SUFFICIENT TO ALLOW FOR THAT KIND OF IMPOSITION.

I agree, but it's important to not immediately paint all white people with that brush. B/c in honesty, you will see some struggling out of control white people (Like the ones that live on my block, everyone else is civil, except for this one white family where you hear cussing, screaming, hitting, crying etc) This then turns less into a race issue & more into a class issue, b/c we all need to be educated & learn to become more independent & question whatever the 'power' group tells us is right and wrong. Which brings up more questions of us needing to break into the financial banking system to increase black owned biz's, its not we don't want to, we do! But no one wants to loan us money, no matter our financial history due to what you just described, one day at a time, we can make our own destiny.

There are two different types of racism there is Hating other races then there is the type were you accept the fact that every race has there own genetic differences. Every single person has some sort of racist belief in them. Like if you accep that the average black person is born naturally stronger then the average white person then that is a racist belief.

I couldn't agree more. They get mad when a black person is discriminated against and someone takes up for them. What the heck is that about?

They call us names and think that every one of us with a job is there because of Affirmative Action.

They don't know how it is to grow up in an area like I grew up in. to try to make it, to try to be a good student, to deal with the crap I had to. Every white person I know that is where I am professionally did a lot less to get there than I did.

Why don't they realize that 75 years ago their parents could go get an education, get a job, open a business, get a loan, and buy land. 75 years ago my grandfather couldn't do any of that. They have trust funds, inheritances, and a educational lineage. Their ancestors could go get a loan to open a business, mine could not. Whites wouldn't hire them, blacks didn't own any businesses to hire them, what in the heck were they supposed to do? Even if they could have learned to read, what was the point? They couldn't get jobs with that knowledge. Well, when they finally let us into college, let us get jobs, and let us get loans they thought that it was all supposed to end right there. That day a whole race of people were supposed to be fine and educated like whites? It doesn't work that way.

They had to hustle back then, well, hustling changed now. Where they used to do anything to get a job, now they will sell drugs for money. Hustiling has evolved to this, all because we weren't allowed to be educated in the past.

It is things like this that people say that keeps "rac-ism" around, I know equal amount of people who have problems with other races, I don't understand why some people can't just let issues of the past be the past and live in a world for today. Some people are just ignorant.

basically black would technically advise organic Sub-Saharan African (no longer inevitably basically African because all of North Africa is caucasian/white). although, many black/African-people are actual jumbled in heritage. In 1990, the classic "black-American" become actual between 12-25% ecu and four-14% community American. purely an fairly small element of African-people are actual organic African.

Well I am sure your white wife taught you that...LOL. Seriously, I have been to Africa, and people who have more melanin have treated me like their brother, have brought me in their homes, have shared with me their lives. A vast majority of these same people, who have more melanin than I do, who have lived in the same country as my own, hate me more for my skin color without ever having known me as a person. They(the same oppressed people you mention) will beat me, shoot me, try to date my sister to try dominate me, all because of my skin color. So please don't tell me what racism is, when Africans in Africa tell me you are racist, then your guilt trips are less about the truth and more about the fact that you have lack of an education. When more Caucasians from all origins know more about American Black History than the people that particular subject represents, that should shine a ra of truth to you.

SOME of the white people i have met are more quiet when it comes to racism. they say stuff behind closed doors.
SOME of the black people i met are up front with it. they don't care who is around they say what they say
SOME Asians i have met, are cool with everybody, but their parents are another story
SOME Spanish people i have met have been very racist towards white people

however, there are always gonna be those people. i don't let them bother me i just live my life and be nice to every one

i know the answer to this question, but i really do hate the racist comments above me. most white people will not give us a chance at a job we qualify for just because we are black and the sickens me. But it happens more often than not. And they wonder why blacks hate them so much.

Here's an example to how small minded black people are in today's society. I went to sign my child out of school, and I walked into the office and started to sign the release sheet. And then a Black woman came in with her daughter and was in back of me in the line. She started to speak to the Secretary and the Secretary said nicely excuse me I will be with you as soon as I help this parent first. So the Black woman said in front of her small daughter..." Oh! Okay I guess you have to be the right color to get help around here!" I could not believe what I just heard! Was she referring to me getting in the office first? I wanted to turn around and just give her my opinion on how pathetic she was. But I just shook my head with amazement, and said UN believable. The Secretary was white. I am not White, I am not Black, I am not Hispanic neither. I will tell you this though I am from a tribe that was originally from North America! Black People are so repressed it is sad that they continue to carry there chains of guilt all these years later!

B***S***.

the fact that you do not own a houseing development. or have not gotten a job in law enforcement. does not change the fact that you can be racist.

we cannot do anything to you that you cannot (given the motivation) do right back to us. and talk abour profileing...

try being a white man lost in Compton after dark. or east Philly. or Downtowne Baltimore.

you try to complicate the definition of a word by comparing it with other words that end the same.

Racist/Racism simply means that you hate somebody because of the color of their skin or the location of their birth. it has nothing to do with communism or any or the other isim's that you talked about.
