I take it that since you posted this in the LGBT section, you're having dreams about being gay. This doesn't necessarily mean you're gay.

"To dream that you are homosexual (but you are not in your waking life), represents a union with aspects of yourself. It is symbolic of self-love, self-acceptance, and compassion. If, in your dream, you are not comfortable with homosexuality, then it suggests some fears/anxieties about your masculinity (if you are male) and femininity (if you are female). You may be experiencing some insecurity in your relations with the opposite sex."

However, this doesn't mean you're NOT gay:

"If you are homosexual in your waking life, then the dream is simply a reflection of your own self."

One thing you should know about dreams: they're not to be taken literally. Some people take a lot of time interpreting their dreams. I've done it a few times, it's not easy. Sometimes I just get completely lost on a dream and decide it was either too deep of a dream or really didn't mean anything.

But yeah, dreams rarely come true, that is the work of fairy tales.

Sometimes dreams are a way for your subconscious to deal with issues or events that happened or are happening in your life now. If you have a recurring dream there may be a single cause for it. If you are dreaming different dreams then it may just be normal.

Some believe that dreams are messages from the spirit world, aliens or our own subconcious desires.

Some scientists theorized that dreams are our mind's way of 'cleaning out the memory files' and making more free space for new memories. I find this easier to believe.

Dreams are your mind's way of sorting through things that happen in day to day life. You work through problems in your sleep, and your subconscious can often pick up clues that your conscious mind missed, so they might appear in dreams too.

Keep a dream journal every morning. It can help you solve problems, notice trends in decisions that you make. It can increase your creativity, or even just help warn you of things coming that your conscious mind over looked.

I don't believe in magic.
I think dreams are stories that your personality has made out of random images from your brain. The story can be telling of "where you are", but that means that they are descriptive, not predictive.

Neither dreams nor premonitions have any power in predicting the future. Don't worry so much about your dreams, because they can't affect you if you don't let them.
