Not true, more like an Italian kitchen without one of their traditional sauces, say Alfredo for the sake of argument. You can still serve spaghetti with Marinara or pesto or even plain olive oil and you can even serve vodka Martinis, Gimlets, etc., but you would have a problem producing a good Singapore Sling without sloe gin or coming up with a convincing Raymond's Fizz without gin.

YEAH! I love gin. It seems like there are so many brands of vodka and hardly any gins. Wonder why that is.
