I hear from some to mix a little sugar in the powder and that will help make the boric acid tasty to the roach. i hear they take it to there nest and it this kills the eggs too. is this true? I am seeing 2 or 3 roaches every other day and wan to start taking care of this issue before it gets worse. i also been told to mix it with water and leave it out for they roaches look for somethign to drink. is that a good idea as well? i put a bit of the boric acid sugar mix under my kitchen sink and i tried to pour some in the cracks between the stove and dishwasher
i also sprayed regular insecticide on my counters and sink and along the floor by the sink.

Boric acid works wonders! I lived in Northern Va in an apartment for 8.5 years and had to use it because the roaches would come to my apt whenever the surrounding ones sprayed. YUCK!!! After I started using boric acid, I RARELY saw another roach! I had a pretty bad problem at first so I laid down a heavy application behind appliances, sofas, etc and left it ... I resisted killing any roaches I saw in the powder so they could take it back to the nest and I also resisted cleaning it up for awhile (I'm a clean freak). Do not add sugar to the powder unless you want to compound your roach problem with other insects!! They'll clean themselves and ingest the powder w/o help of sugar. I really don't recommend spraying insecticides on your counters and sinks - think of that stuff getting on your food!

Boric acid is very effective against roaches and not dangerous to humans at all. For many years it was used as an eye wash. Sprinkle it into cracks all over the kitchen. We put it inside the walls when we remodeled our house 10 years ago and have never seen a roach in the kitchen.

You must finely dust with boric acid. If it piles up, the roach will simply go around it. The sugar is a good idea but you'll liable to bring in ants and increase your problem. Do not mix it with water because roaches drink from your pipes and other metals that have condensation and the toxic drink won't attarct them. Be sure and clean your counters and sink thoroughly after spraying and good luck with your project.

I don't think you have to mix sugar in anything. Boric Acid works two ways on the roach, they get it on their feet and all insects lick their feet and the dust, or powder, gets inbetween the parts of their body and drives them insane.

You put it along the walls, under the cabinets, behind the oven or anyplace where you see them running to hide.

Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last couple years, I'm sure you've heard of the Paleo Diet. Read here https://tr.im/paleoguide
I hate to even call it a diet, because it's really just the real way that humans have eaten for almost 1.9 Million years, as opposed to the modern-day processed food diet full of grains, sugars, and processed vegetable oils.
