If you have a normal dream that you do everyday in your life... or that you think a lot about what you want to do or want to come... do's it come true? and if you tell someone your dream it dosent come true? is this a myth or truth?

I think the saying, at least the one my mom told to me, is that the dream will come true if you tell someone. However, if you don't wish for the dream to come true then you need to eat something first before telling anyone. Mere superstition, really.

I've found that the dreams that do "come true" are dreams that you do not understand at the time you dream them. Most represent a strong emotional feeling, rather than an action. You're suddenly feeling different about something that you usually feel a certain way about already. You don't understand why or what the feeling may be. Like for example, I had a dream that involved hugging the guy I was dating. The hug felt differently than usual. It was full of sadness, and merely friendly, but at the same time, it felt like a huge weight had come off my shoulders. I did not tell anyone the dream, and a few months later, after it was completely forgotten about...we broke up. We hugged, saying goodbye. It was the same emotional pull that helped me to remember my dream.

Not all dreams come true, in fact, very few do. Telling people really has no outcome in this, but if you really want something to come true, than pursue it and make it your goal. If you don't want it to come true, then maybe your unconscious mind is warning you to change something to make the outcome in your favor.

Hope this helps!

I think some dreams can come true if they're within real life boundaries.I used to dream I was back at some job I used to Hate. I also still dream sometimes that I'm smoking and upset that I started again. Maybe you're OCD also? This question might have also been posted in Psychology. Some people claim to have psychic abilities and many overreact to their dreams thinking that they're premonitions. Here's a site on remote viewing which has claimed to be able to teach others to hone their psychic abilities. The American Indians believed that dreams could foretell the future also. Some tribes would supposedly do some painful and bizarre ritual things to cross over into the spirit world in order to gain better insight such as thru animals etc. Interesting and old subject of controversy. Part of your question usually refers to making wishes.

It's a myth that you can't tell anyone. Talking about your dream and believing in it, is what makes it come true. Your dream will probably come true if you are focusing on it coming true everyday. What makes them come true (if realistic) is you focusing and believeing that they will come true and taking the steps to make it come true. You should watch the movie "The Secret" it talks about this and tells you how to make it happen. Good movie.

hmm it depends...
if you have a dream about going to a certain place, then you might go to that place just because you saw you going there in a dream...
then again dreams are a sorting of the days thoughts and memories...
so it could be possible that the mixed up jumble of thoughts words and deeds getting sorted as you sleep, could possibly come into being...
then again if you dream about a certain person asking you out then maybe there were signals you didn't fully notice untill your dreams sorted them...
anyway your dreams won't directly direct the events of the day, but they could focus you in the direction of the dream, and possibly towards a situation somewhat like the one in the dream since your brain was too busy to see something obvious was coming till it started sorting aka dreaming...

I think you may be confusing dreaming with something called "visualizing". To visualize you put yourself in a scenario you want to happen and you repeat it over and over in your mind as if you were living in the scene i.e. wake up in the scene, go to sleep in the scene, greet friends, have dinner, live life in the scene. For many people visualizing comes true. It did for me years ago when I pictured a store I wanted to open. I was told to not only visulaize it but draw a picture of it. I did an about 3 years later I got the store I had visualized. I had no way of knowing about this store when I was visualizing it by the way.

Every once in a while, the first will come true, but not always. The second one is wierdly worded. If you have a dream that something is going to happend to someone and you tell them, they are wary of it, but it can still come true.

I believe this is a form of Attraction, as in the Law of Attraction. You manifest and draw to you what you think. If you think negative thoughts all the time, you will get negativity in your life. If you think positive thoughts, you attract positive. I don't think it's bad luck to tell anyone because by telling them, you release that thought into the universe to be answered.
