Im 17 and today i got into my first car wreck. My whole bumper came off, (but it was already half way but dad fixed it) The man i hit isnt going to call the insurance company. I think i hit him because my brakes dont work good. We wasnt even going fast. I was close to him but i was far enough where I could push my brakes hard and not hit him. But when i pushed my brakes they made some kind of noise and the car kept going and hit him. Before this accident i told my dad they needed to be changed, but he didnt do it.So when i call him to tell him what happened he started cursing and fussing at me talking about i ride on people a** and he told me about that. So i told him it was the brakes and i told him they needed changing. The man damage wasnt that bad his bumper just came back a little and his front bumper shifted down just a little on one side. So now he is all mad (he has a anger problem and he thinks hes all was right)and i feel bad because i did this. what can i do th feel better

Just chalk it up to a learning experience, get the brakes checked, placate the ol' man by admitting that you have learned your lesson, and then FUGGEDDABOUTDIT!

Well, don't forget about not tailgating when you already know your brakes are bad. And here's a tip for the future, if you know there's something wrong with your car, and you have an accident and admit that you knew ahead of time that there was something wrong, that's called "negligence", and can easily tip the scales of justice against you, both lawsuit-wise and criminally.

It's better to FIX the problem once you become aware of it, and before you kill someone. The person you kill might be a friend or loved one, THEN how would you feel?

First of all, You admitted you were riding close to him and if you had to stop you would need to put your brakes on hard. that's what you said. If your Dad told you that you rode peoples asses then it sounds like he was right. also if you know you have poor brakes then you should stay way back or not drive. You need to learn from what has happened so next time it wont be your life or some one Else's. Apologize to your Dad and "Do Not Drive" if you can't be more responsible.

Dont put it all on your Dad, you knew the brakes were not working you should have parked the car till they were fixed. I hope you dont make the same mistake again. But anyhow time heals all wounds just lay low and he will get over it.

If you are going to drive/own a car, you need to learn to do some repairs or have them fix your self.
Take some responsibility in life, don't wait for other to do it.

make sure that the car is in good condition the next time you go out driving, just to avoid accidents.

Uhhhh..........Seek professional help.
See a psychologist?
See a psychoanalyst?
See your local church people and ask forgiveness?

Or quit following other cars too close.

I'm not sure wat you want us to tell you????
