I have filed the initial paper work - I have had himn served - I have filed the paper work saying hes been served ... it has been over 30 days . . . . I am confused about what papers I file next --- I got a packet of paper work drawn up from Legal zoom -- my husband didnt contest -

We share NOTHING no bank account, no property - NOTHING zero .... zilch

Do I need to have more paper work signed by him ? something notarized or do I just file the final paperwork -with the 2 enevelopes and thats it - Please help me

I need to do this ASAP .... this guy turned to drugs and just got out of jail - I want this over before he gets arrested again and then it takes me forever to just get out of it

Your lawyer should tell you what you need to do,
as if it is not contested and he was served then
all you need to do is sign the final paperwork, but
be sure and read the fine print to make sure you
are not signing something that you do not want to
do. Your lawyer can then represent you in court
and you do not even have to go, and the judge
should grant you a divorce as long as no proprities
passed on to someone is not involved, and that
should take care of it. Unless laws have changed
in california you cannot re-marry until 6months
after the divorce is final. Good luck.
