As a smoker I do not know any good things about smoking. The only "good" thing about smoking is it is a stress reliever. The bads are your nails and teeth change colors, you have a smokers cough, you have many more respiratory infections, if you are prego it can cause lower birth weights, RSV, which is a potentially fatal respiratory virus in children. You also stink like an ash tray... So, I wish I would have never started.

The good is the amount of taxes it brings in ... Well, not good for smokers - like me - but good for everyone else.

The amount of tax paid for the right to smoke a legal substance should justify being against bans or other ways of putting more stipulations on it then there already are.
If some people did not smoke then all people would be paying for the loss of those taxes.

If a business feels it should allocate space for non-smokers or have an all non-smoking establishment then it should be dictated by the customers of the establishment not government.

Smoking is bad, wrong and unhealthy but as long as it is legal should be left to it's own demise.

There are no good parts.
Here are some of the bad parts :
. It gives you lung cancer
. It causes other health problems
. It makes your breathing less easy so if you do exercise it means you will tire more quickly
. It polutes rooms, meaning non-smokers have to breath in 2nd hand smoke
. It creates a mess with dirty ash getting everywhere
. It is very adictive, being adicted to things takes away your free will so is bad.
. It has been known to create poverty and theft when people cant afford to feed their habit.
. It is expensive (even if you can afford it)
. People who own the tabboco corporations get filthy rich while there is much poverty in the world.

I could probably go on, but I think you see that there are many bad things about smoking.

I've been smoking for about 40 years, so I guess I'm a good one to answer. There is not one thing good about smoking!! I'm short breathed, smell from smoke, I'm beginning to sound like a man, it's very expensive, I've burned holes in my car, clothes, carpeting, my walls are yellow, my mom is recovering from tongue cancer, I get ashes all over my computer, I have a smokers hack, I'm embarrased smoking in public. It's a horrible addiction, I could go on and on. But, I still do it!! Even when I quit for over 3 years, I still wanted to smoke everyday. It has complete control over me. So, as you can see, there aren't any good parts.

Wow, I can't think of a single good reason to smoke. Lots of bad ones--it gives you cancer, heart disease, it kills you early, makes you unhealthy so you can't do sports or even hold up your end in love-making, it can mess up the genes you are going to pass on to your kids, and on top of all of that its expensive, like $5 a pack now, so obviously a pack a day habit is over $1500 thrown down the toilet every year. Its a total waste. Oh and you smell bad too.

There is no good. It tastes bad, smells bad, looks bad, costs a small fortune and kills. I was a smoker for 16 years (i"m only 31 now) nad quit last year.
Smoking is good in the same backwards way that I guess a junkies hit is good. It feels good at the time but then you pay for it for so much longer.

Cigarettes have more than 10 chemicals that will destroy the cells of your body. There are no chemicals in cigarettes that will benefit your body in any form. I smoked for 14 years and have not smoke for more than 40 years and the cells show damage caused by smoking. If you choose to smoke think about this You only got one body and if you destroy it? You will pay the bill when you are older. Your body will not repair your lungs.

The Good: People who are stupid enough to smoke win the Darwin Award and might save humanity. The Bad: The smoking part...and having to see it, breath it and smell it.
