The cable for "popping" the hood detached from the hood of my 92 Grand Am. It is still attached on the inside of the car to the hood lever. I managed to find the cable near the hood latch by going under the car. However, I could not find the place to reconnect the cable to get my hood to 'pop'. Any help or diagrams would be very much appreciated.

if the cable is not broken just open the hood by reaching under pulling on the piece where it connects to the lever feel around for it then lift the latch and hook it back around you may need a new cable piece to tighten it down but there cheap at a napa

Look at another 92 on a car lot, look at a new latch at a dealer or unbolt the latch from underneath.
